is a national park located in Bolivar State, Venezuela. It was established on 12 June 1962y declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1994.

It extends over 30,000 km ² to the border with Guyana and Brazil, for its size is considered the world's sixth largest national park. About 65% of the park is occupied by rock plateaus called tepuis. These constitute a unique biological environment, also presenting a great geological interest. Its steep cliffs and waterfalls (including Salto Angel, which is the highest water fall in the world, at 1,002 m) are spectacular landscapes.

In 1994 the Canaima National Park was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, as a nature reserve that has special steep slopes and unique worldwide, the tepui, which are species of plateaus of millions of years old, with vertical walls and almost flat tops.

The best known are Mount Roraima tepuis, the highest and easy to climb around the park, and Auyan-tepui, the most visited, as in this fall or cataract highest waterfall in the world is the Salto Angel .

It is said that the tepui is rocks and sandstones dating from the period when America and Africa formed a supercontinent. This type of relief is commonly known as Guayana Shield.

The park is home to the Pemon people. They have a relationship with the tepui, and believe that they are the home of the spirits "Mawari". The park is in a remote location to civilization. It has few roads connecting to other nearby cities, comoCiudad Guiana. The most common means of transport is to traverse through canoes.
